Covering a number of high end practices in the South
Due to this companies continued growth, they are now looking for a new Area Manager for the South East of England to join their growing regional Operational Management team.
Based on the likely geographical concentration of their current and new practices they would prefer applicants who are based along the M25 area with easy access to London, Kent, Berkshire regions.
The Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management to practice colleagues, (associates and employed), across multiple practices, to ensure that patients are at the heart of everything they do; and, through practice managers, drive practice growth, increase revenue opportunities, and ensure the effective strategic and day-to-day financial management and operation of their practices.
Successful candidates will be responsible in managing 5-10 practices including regions such as:
•All suitable applicants MUST have Dental Experience.Private and or NHS
•Must have Area Managerial Experience too.
•Candidates Must have managed more than 5 sites
•Formal Management Training or Qualifications Desirable not essential
•Applicants must be hard-working, must be comfortable in driving long distances, must be comfortable in covering the SE area.
•MUST be able to adopt a good working manner, must have excellent customer service skills
•MUST Have least 1-2 years’ experience of managing multiple sites within dentistry.
Salary package would be £40-45k plus £5k cash allowance.
Suitable applicants will be responsible for :
•Driving the growth of the practices in both patient numbers and financial revenue in accordance with the business plan
•Act as point of contact for the practices directly under your management, and assume accountability for management success and the resolution of all issues that might arise.
•Ensure set financial objectives are delivered communicating proactively
•Prepare financial reports for Senior Management team
•Develop consistent strategy across practices
•Work with Practice Managers (PMs) to constantly evaluate patient access to treatment, ensuring appointment availability and times are suitable to meet patient needs. Ensure clinical support is managed appropriately e.g. manage absences
Leadership skills will include:
•Building a rapport and establishing relationships with internal and external partners in order to successfully manage practices through the Practice Manager at each practice
•The education and monitoring of the practice manager and colleagues, via the practice manager, so that they are all fully versed and trained in both the understanding of, and the execution of practices and procedures, and that such procedures are adhered to
•Motivate all members of the team to ensure that morale of the team is maintained
•Provide training and ongoing support to all team members to allow them to fulfil the duties of their role to the highest standards e.g. Customer Care programme, Induction programme
•Together with the Practice Managers, the recruitment, interviewing and appointment of clinical and administrative colleagues within the practices for any such position that requires appointing a suitable candidate
•Understanding of practice dynamics and culture, identifying issues, strengths and weaknesses and acting on such areas to ensure that practice goals are achieved and exceeded
•Implementing an on-going colleague appraisal system for all colleagues within the practices.
•Recruitment & Induction – work closely with the Head of Recruitment to recruit new team members, ensuring they are correctly inducted to the Company and trained properly to do their job. Monitor performance throughout probation and address issues where required.
•Ensure a safe, clean and professional environment for patients, colleagues, associates and contractors
•Assist the management team in ensuring compliance with CQC, HTM01-05 and any other regulation/legislation required to run a dental practice
•Ensure patient complaints are managed in accordance with the Complaints procedure, and are dealt with swiftly and professionally
•Ensure patient records and personal data are processed in accordance with Data Protection Act, maintaining confidentiality. Ensure patient records are available for each clinical session
•Ensure NHS administration is completed accurately, filed accordingly within practice or to the Dental Practice Board
•Provide the HR department with all necessary information for employees and Associate contractual updates and compliance. Management information and reports regarding employees is supplied regularly and as-and-when required.
•Ensure relevant documentation is collated for team members as appropriate to ensure compliance is maintained e.g. DBS, GDC, right to work checks
•Ensuring the IT policy regarding security passwords, user log in policy and internet usage are clearly understood and the consequences of non-compliance understood by, and adhered to, by all users
•Ensuring that following the integration process, all practices are fully aware of ALL policies as laid out in the latest version of the Clinical Handbook, as well as any updates and communications which have been implemented since the latest Clinical Handbook was published.
•Working with, and through, the practice manager, to ensure that all policies and procedures, as required to achieve the smooth operations of the practice are adhered to. Such policies include, but are not limited to the following areas such as Accounting, banking, Petty cash etc.
